I Took a Break from Music to Raise My Nine Children – Herty Borngreat [VIDEO]

Ghanaian gospel musician Herty Borngreat has opened up about the reason behind her long absence from the music industry and public life.

Speaking in an interview on Onua TV’s Onua ShowTime with host Nana Ama McBrown, the celebrated singer revealed that she stepped away from music to focus on raising her children.

The discussion arose when she was asked about her whereabouts after years of being less visible at events, on social media, and in the gospel music space despite being known for hit songs such as Bebree and Kano Seyaa.

According to Herty Borngreat, motherhood became her priority as she dedicated her time and attention to caring for her nine children. She explained that she felt the need to take a break from her music career to ensure her children were well nurtured and able to establish themselves before she returned to active ministry and music.

The gospel singer admitted that the journey has not been easy, noting that balancing family responsibilities with other commitments came with its own challenges.

However, she was quick to acknowledge the support she has received from her husband, Bishop Daniel Borngreat, whom she credited for helping her raise their children. Herty disclosed that together they are raising seven girls and two boys.

She also attributed their ability to care for their large family to God’s grace, emphasizing that divine support has played a significant role throughout their parenting journey.
