The Founder and leader of the Lighthouse Chapel International, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, has apologized to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, after a sermon he preached in which he criticised the Asantehene went viral and offended his subjects.
In the viral audio, the man of God preached a sermon about kingship, during which he used the Asantehene as an example, and questioned his impact and legacy beyond the yearly celebrations of his reign.
The audio has offended the King’s subjects with many pouring out their
anger via social media, with some threatening to attack Lighthouse
Chapel branches in the Asante Kingdom.
However, in a statement sighted by #YourNo1NewsHub, www.kgnewsonline.com on the official twitter handle of the renowned evangelist addressed to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Bishop Dag explained that the audio circulating online was message he shared nearly 20 years ago added that it has been taken out of context and being circulated by persons who have declared to close all his churches in Kumasi.
Mentioning some of the life-changing projects the Asantehene has embarked on since ascending on the throne of the Asante Kingdom, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills who is also embarking on some life-changing projects begged and thanked the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for graciousness in the matter.
