Some Ghanaian social media users have lambasted the Ghana Football Association for calling Ghana's senior men's football team white angel, an act they describe as an attempt to change the identity of the team.
In reacting to a tweet put out by the Ghanaian FA's official twitter handle which sort to describe the team nicknamed 'Black Stars' as White Angels,some Ghanaians angered by the post descended on the football association by describing them as corrupt and acting in a way contrary to the FA's slogan of 'Bringing Back The Love'.
Others who were overly critical also question why the FA came up with the 'white angels' stating that it is an attempt downplay the significance of the name given to the team by Ghana's first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah .
