I wrote ‘Kakai’ for Shatta Wale — Dr. Likee reveals

 

Ghanaian comedian and actor Dr. Likee has revealed that he was behind the writing of the popular song “Kakai” performed by Shatta Wale.

Speaking on DayBreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he disclosed that although he is a talented musician, he has chosen not to pursue a music career publicly.

According to him, he has contributed significantly behind the scenes, writing songs for several top artistes in the country.

He specifically stated that he wrote “Kakai” for Shatta Wale because it was a concept people could easily relate to, which contributed to its popularity.

Dr. Likee added that he has written about three songs for Shatta Wale and many others for different musicians, even though he has largely stayed out of the spotlight as a songwriter.
