Counselor Lutterodt arrested for inciting violence against Daddy Lumba’s wife Odo Broni?

Popular Ghanaian marriage counselor, Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, widely known in the media as Counsellor Lutterodt, has reportedly been arrested and detained by the Ghana Police Service over allegations of inciting violence and engaging in conduct likely to cause a breach of peace. The arrest follows controversial public remarks he made concerning the burial place of legendary Ghanaian musician Daddy Lumba.

According to reports, Counsellor Lutterodt called on Ga youth to exhume the body of Daddy Lumba, claiming the late musician had been buried at an unapproved location in East Legon. He argued that the burial site, which he described as Ga land, disrespected the traditional customs and cultural sensitivities of the Ga people. Lutterodt further suggested that the remains of the celebrated highlife musician should be relocated to what he believes would be a more appropriate resting place.

The remarks have sparked widespread condemnation from sections of the public who fear the comments could fuel tension and disrupt community peace. In response to the growing concerns, the Ghana Police Service intervened and moved swiftly to detain the controversial counselor as part of efforts to prevent any potential unrest and maintain public order.
