CK Akonnor names injured Thomas Partey & Kudus for Black Stars 2022 World Cup qualifiers

 


Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has a 30-man squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa next month.

The senior national team of Ghana will begin their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers campaign against Ethiopia and South Africa in September.

Accra based Hearts of Oak FC's duo Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Richard Attah received maiden call-ups with Kelvin Yeboah and Manaf Nurudeen of Sturm Graz and KAS Eupen respectively. Veterans Daniel Amartey and Jonathan Mensah made it to the list including Thomas Partey and Mohamed Kudus who are currently injured.
 
Ghana are scheduled to host Group G opponents Ethiopia on Friday, September 3 in Cape Coast, before playing South Africa on Monday, September 6, 2021 in Johannesburg respectively.
