Calling him a thief on live radio, Ghanaian reggae musician and radio presenter Blakk Rasta has added his voice to the controversy surrounding gospel singer turned preacher, Sonnie Badu's recently acquired degrees.
Speaking on his taxi driver show on Accra-based zylofon fm, Blakk Rasta who is known for speaking whatever is on his mind called out the 'Baba' hitmaker for a certificate a lot of people on social media describe as fake.
According to Blakk Rasta who is known for calling some members of Ghana's parliament 'weed smokers', the actions of Sonnie Badu is more than stealing .
On his show which happens to be the only drive time show in Accra that airs only reggae songs,Blakk Rasta , the 'Serwaa Akoto' crooner who was fuming said;
" A man who calls himself servant of God must not be God,you must be a servant. You are a thief and this is even more than stealing. Why don’t you go to school if you really want the degree."
On his part, Sonnie Badu who described people criticising as frogs in responding to a question on how he got his degrees and certificates said;
"Been in ministry 28 yrs , I ve a bachelors in ministry, n masters in Christian leadership, took me 3 years to hit my PhD in philosophy cos I was tired of honorarys which I have in divinity and musicology..I have 38 books , 4 albums a music academy founder of RCH ve nth 2 prove"
