Thomas Partey wins MOTM award in Arsenal's first EUROPA LEAGUE game(video)


 Arsenal football club's deadline day signing , Thomas Partey in his first full debut game for the London side pulled a master class performance in Arsenal's first game in the 2020-21 UEFA Europa league competition. 

Winning by two goals to one in the game against Austrian side Rapid Wien, the Arsenal and Ghanaian midfielder at the end of the game won the MAN OF THE MATCH award with pundits and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta describing his performance on the day as fantastic,silky smooth and commanding.

With 90% of his 92 passes being accurate, Thomas Partey on the night made 4/5 long balls, 1 key pass, won 4 aerial duels, 104 touches, 5 tackles, 1 interception , 1 clearance and received a yellow card to help his Arsenal team win it's first game in this year's competition.


Speaking on Partey's performance , Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta who looked satisfied with the Ghanaian midfielders performance said,

  "He looked really solid and really comfortable. He held the midfield by himself in the second half when we were leaving it more open to take more chances. There's much more to come." 

Arsenal's next game will be against  Leicester City on Sunday evening  in game week 6 of the English Premier League  .
